I booked a day-trip from Barneville-Carteret to Sark on August 20th 2016 via Aferry.com. I also booked two nights at a hotel. Only when I arrived in Carteret did I find out the crossing had been cancelled. I never received notification via e-mail or SMS and the Manches-Iles website, Facebook page and twitter account had NOTHING about the cancellation. I understand that bad weather happens but your company needs to find a way of relaying information to booked passengers. Even on the morning of the crossing when I went online to ;y Manches-Iles account it was indicating STATUS confirmed. I has seriously put me off using this service in the future

Answer of Manche Îles Express

Good morning Paul. We are sorry for the troubles caused by the cancellation of the boat due to bad weather. You book with Aferry.com, they should notify you and inform you of this cancellation. We consider your comments, and we will improve our customer service to communicate this info on social networks. We hope to see you soon on board our ships.

Cordialement,

L’équipe Manche Iles Express
